UKTV’s entertainment channel W will become available on both Freeview and Freesat on Monday 28th March 2022.
Streamers will be able to watch and catch-up on W’s programmes via UKTV Play, alongside W’s existing free-to-air sister channels, including Dave and Drama.
As part of the free-to-air relaunch, the channel gets a new look, including a new logo. Content wise, W is repositioning itself as the home of genuine human moments, leading with the tagline, “Life Unfiltered” to connect with its female skewing 25-44 target audience.

On Freeview, W takes over from Dave Ja Vu on channel 25 as part of a reshuffle. On Sky, W (standard definition) and W+1 will, as of this week, be available without an active subscription.
What’s on?
As a result, Freeview viewers will have access to a plethora of hit UKTV Originals for free, including brand new upcoming shows:
- Alex Jones: Making Babies,
- Rochelle Humes: Interior Designer in the Making,
- Nurses on the Ward
- Dating With My Mates,
… alongside new series of returning shows including:
- Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over,
- MasterChef USA, Australia and Canada,
- Inside the Ambulance.
Many viewers will also have the chance to see award-winning Emma Willis: Delivering Babies and Myleene Klass’ acclaimed documentary Myleene Klass: Miscarriage and Me for the first time.
During the daytime and early evening, W is the home of Tipping Point – one of the few quiz shows not to end up on Challenge, plus property show My Dream Home and reruns of The Bill.
Other highlights include comedy reruns each weekend, including My Family and Gavin and Stacey.
Meanwhile, W will launch on Freeview with 100% of programmes carrying subtitles.
W’s channel director, Adam Collings, said
