Crime drama channel Alibi is moving up to one of the top slots on Sky’s channel list from Monday.
The home of dramas including Rizzoli & Isles, Hudson and Rex, Annika and Miss Scarlet and the Duke will move to Sky channel 109 in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In Wales, Sky viewers will be able to see the channel on 110.
It’s swapping with sister channel W, which is moving down to alibi’s old slot on Sky channel 132. It follows the decision to make W a free-to-air channel, becoming available on Freesat and Freeview for the first time.
Alibi+1 will move from Sky channel 232 to 209 in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In Wales, the +1 channel moves to 210.
The changes don’t affect viewers using Sky Glass, which has a different channel list.
Late change
Alibi’s Sky channel number swap is a late change which wasn’t announced when TV listings for the week covering 26/03/2022-01/04/2022 were published. As a result, listings magazines for that week won’t reflect the channel change, despite covering other changes to channels taking place on Monday.
On-air promotions are being broadcast to alert Sky viewers of the change.
Alibi is a pay channel available on Sky, Virgin Media and TalkTalk. The channel originally launched in October 2008 when it replaced the former UKTV Drama channel.
