Second NBC channel added in latest Samsung TV Plus update

1 November 2023

NBC Universal has launched a second streaming channel on Samsung TV Plus with a channel dedicated to true crime.

  • Dateline NBC channel joins NBC News Now on the free streaming platform.
  • Samsung TV Plus also adds festive music channel in its latest channel update.

Viewers with access to the Samsung TV Plus streaming service can now access back-to-back true crime investigations and reports from the archives of popular US TV show Dateline NBC.

Dateline started life as news magazine in the 1990s, also shown here in the UK on NBC Europe. Since then it’s focus has shifted to true crime, with each episode looking at real life stories and investigations.

Dateline NBC is now available on Samsung TV Plus channel 4213 (Factual Entertainment section).

Meanwhile, Samsung TV Plus has also added further new channels including Vevo Christmas, which is dedicated to festive tunes. It’s on channel 4010. Mercury Studios new Gigs channel opens up a library of concert and performance footage for music fans on channel 4714.

The Festive Hub is Samsung’s home for seasonal films – featured on channel 4009.

Samsung TV Plus is found above channel 4000 on compatible Samsung smart TVs. The service is also available on most of Samsung’s range of smartphones and tablets from the past few years.
