Sky to reshuffle channels in Scotland

21 July 2023

31 channels are on the move on Sky Q and Sky+HD in Scotland, as Sky makes a last minute adjustment to comply with new Ofcom rules.

Ofcom ordered all TV platform operators to ensure BBC Three is available on a top 24 slot on all channel list within 18 months of returning as a linear channel. The deadline for all platform operators to implement the change is the end of this month.

BBC Three’s current slot in Scotland – on channel 141 – falls foul of these rules.

As a result, on the morning of Monday 24th July 2023, the following changes are being made in Scotland:

  • BBC Three moves from channel 141 to 121
  • All channels currently between channel 121 and 140 move up one slot
  • All +1 channels currently between channel 221 and 240 move up one slot
