- Ends situation where viewers who upgraded to Sky Stream lost access to the channels.
The differences between Sky’s satellite channel line-up (Sky Q, Sky+HD) and its streaming-based alternative (Sky Glass/Sky Stream) continue to narrow.
Sky has confirmed the arrival of both MUTV and LFCTV starting Thursday 11th July 2024* on Sky Glass TVs and Sky Stream pucks. This ends the current situation where MUTV and LFCTV are removed from viewer’s Sky TV package if they switch to Sky Glass/Sky Stream. Scroll down for more information.
▶ Where to find MUTV and LFCTV on Sky Glass and Sky Stream from 11th July
UK
- MUTV channel 420
- LFCTV channel 421
Republic of Ireland
- MUTV channel 422
- LFCTV channel 423
What does the change mean for Sky subscribers?
Both channels are standalone extras, which you can bolt on to your existing Sky TV subscription. They’re currently available for £7 a month each. You can cancel anytime, but must give 31 days notice.
Existing Sky Stream/Sky Glass users
Ahead of the next football season, it will become possible for current Sky Glass and Sky Stream viewers to request to add either of the channels to the line-up.
Viewers switching from Sky+HD/Sky Q (Satellite) to Sky Glass/Stream (Streaming)
Currently, viewers making the switch from satellite to Sky’s next generation streaming TV service lose access to MUTV/LFC TV. Any subscriptions for these channels are automatically cancelled during the switching process.
This is due to change from later this month, with subscriptions for either channel able to continue through the switching process.
