About Samsung TV Plus
Samsung TV Plus is built in to all newer Samsung Smart TVs, smartphones and tablets. A Samsung account is required to access the service.
The channels are streamed, meaning viewers don’t need an aerial or a dish to access them. The service contains a wide range of niche channels. Last month, the platform added a channel dedicated to episodes of The Graham Norton Show.
But recently, it has begun to attract some major players. Last year, Sky added Sky Mix and Challenge to the platform. CNN, NBC and UKTV all offer services on the platform.
On TVs, TV Plus channels are available above channel 4000 in the channel list. The range below 4000 is reserved for locally received broadcast channels, such as Freeview in the UK.
Services are offered in HD (or upscaled). However, picture quality is determined by internet connection speeds.
