Sky opens up live Premier League Darts to Freeview viewers

4 February 2025

Luke Littler’s first match in the 2025 Premier Darts season will be made available on Freeview and all other major TV platforms as Sky opens up access.

  • Premier League Darts live from Belfast on Sky Mix.
  • Freebie follows rapid increase in interest in the sport.
  • Sky has secured the rights to show PDC darts until 2030.

PDC darts rights holder Sky is offering viewers across the UK and Ireland free access to the first night of the 2025 Premier League Darts season, which is due to include Luke Littler’s first march in defence of his title against the seven-time champion Michael van Gerwen.

Free-to-air channel Sky Mix will offer live coverage from 7pm-11pm on Thursday 6th February.

As a result, Sky is making the darts available to most homes via Freeview, Freesat and Freely (channel details below). Additionally, non-Sky Sports subscribers with Sky, Virgin Media and EE TV can also tune in, either on Sky Mix or Sky Showcase, which is also simulcasting coverage.

Coverage comes from Belfast’s SSE Arena as Premier League darts begins its 17 week season. Interest in the sport has risen rapidly, following the recent success of Luke Humphries and teenage star Luke Littler. The 2024/25 World Darts Championship saw a 29% increase in TV audiences compared to a year earlier.

Earlier, Sky confirmed it had secured the rights to live PDC darts until 2030. After Thursday’s freebie, coverage of other Premier League darts nights will continue on Sky Sports.

Live coverage of the PDC Premier League darts replaces programmes listed in some TV guides.

Where can I watch Sky Mix?

  • Virgin Media UK channel 135
