Sky changes ahead of all-Ireland Cúla 4 launch

1 September 2023

Sky viewers in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will see changes next week as TG4’s new children’s channel goes live on Sky’s satellite and streaming platforms.

  • Ahead of the launch of Cúla4, Sky Glass and Stream viewers in the Republic of Ireland will see changes to the children’s sections, as commercial channels move down a slot.
  • In Northern Ireland, Cúla4 will launch on 7th September on both Sky satellite and Sky Glass/Stream.
  • The channel is not available elsewhere in the UK.

Cúla4 launches on Thursday 7th September on all major platforms in the Republic of Ireland, including Saorview, where a pre-launch caption appeared earlier this summer. On Sky, the channel will be exclusively distributed in HD only.

Satellite changes

For Sky satellite viewers, Cúla4 HD will launch on channel 624 in the Republic of Ireland on Thursday 7th September.

In Northern Ireland, Cúla4 HD will appear on channel 627.

UK viewers outside of Northern Ireland will not be able to access Cúla 4 HD. Irish broadcasters do not have rights clearance to broadcast beyond the island of Ireland.
