Since launching in 2024, the service has been rapidly expanding its reach. Following the channel update, over 3 million Virgin TV customers have access to the channel.

Wedotv movies is a channel featuring a multi-genre line-up of films 24/7. Its expansion onto Virgin Media follows its addition to other UK streaming platforms in the past five years, including as a hybrid streaming channel on Freeview. Each day of the week, the channel features a different genre, including Romance on Mondays and Sci-Fi on Wednesday. Additionally, ahead of Christmas, you’ll find back-to-back seasonal movies.

Where to find the new channels

  • 450 British Screen Classics
  • 451 wedotv movies

The services are part of Virgin Media’s line-up of free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels. They’re are fully integrated into Virgin’s main channel list on Virgin TV 360, Stream and V6 boxes. As a result, most casual viewers won’t notice how the channel is transmitted to their homes.

David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, commented:

“Virgin TV is home to the best in entertainment and more choice for our subscribers.  We offer enhanced value with fantastic on demand and channel content at no extra cost, including two brand-new streaming movie channels. On top of the existing streaming channels available to Virgin TV customers, they now have even more choice and 24/7 access to exciting movies for free.”
