Glastonbury 2025: BBC TV coverage guide

24 June 2025

BBC One will give music fans front row seats to performances from The 1975, RAYE and Rod Stewart as part of the broadcaster’s comprehensive coverage of this year’s Glastonbury festival. But some viewers may be disappointed…

  • BBC is offering over 90 hours of live coverage across its TV channels and iPlayer.

Coverage of this year’s Glastonbury will switch between BBC One and BBC Two from Friday through to Sunday, with BBC One picking up the headline performances.

BBC One is cutting short its usual 40-minute news slot at 10pm to bring viewers live coverage of The 1975s from 10:30 on Friday night. On Saturday, the channel will cover RAYE and Charli xcx from 9:10pm. Meanwhile, on Sunday, live coverage of Rod Stewart is available from 7:15pm.

Scroll down for full listings across the three days.

Clara Amfo, Jack Saunders and Jo Whiley will guide BBC Two viewers through the three days, dipping into live performances and showing highlights from other performances. On Sunday evening, this includes coverage of Nile Rodgers and CHIC from 5pm.

BBC Four will offer viewers an alternative with an ‘appointment to view’ schedule featuring artists such as Wet Leg, Franz Ferdinand and Snow Patrol. It’s due to screen Loyle Carner (Friday 10:30pm) and The Prodigy (Sunday 9:45pm) live or near-live.

However some viewers may end up disappointed, with some performances not making the cut, or only featuring part of the artist or group’s Glastonbury set. Coverage is subject to agreements being in place between the artists and the BBC. Technical issues may also force last minute changes. There’s ongoing controversy over the appearance of Kneecap at the festival, with none of the BBC’s broadcast channels scheduled to show live coverage.

The BBC iPlayer will offer extra streams to cover more of the action live. More details below.

On Freely, Freesat, Freeview Play, Sky Q, Virgin Media and EE TV, the red button on BBC One and BBC Two will direct viewers to the iPlayer live streams. The old Red Button broadcast channel on older devices will not cover Glastonbury, in an arrangement first introduced in 2022.

After Glastonbury has finished, the BBC iPlayer will offer a highlights channel, plus all the weekend’s programmes on catch-up. BBC Three will begin to show a selection of highlights during the first week of June.
