Users of Roku streaming devices in the UK and Ireland will now be able to access the sports & factual entertainment app from the channel store.
It’s part of a wider rollout of discovery+ on Roku around the world. It’s already available on Roku devices in the USA, Canada and Brazil.
As a result, Roku users can now add discovery+ in time for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Factual highlights on Discovery Plus include Gold Rush and 90 Day Fiancé. Additionally subscribers can access discovery+ originals such as Anni: The Honeymoon Murder, The Baby Killer Conspiracy, Richard Hammond’s Workshop and The Men Who Sold The World Cup.
Discovery+ offers access to all of Discovery’s UK and Ireland’s TV channels, with on-demand catch-up for most programmes.

Accessing discovery+
Subscriptions for discovery+ in the UK start at £4.99 a month for entertainment/factual channels and programmes. Adding sport brings viewers access to content from Eurosport and is available from £6.99 a month. Discounts for annual subscriptions are available. However, a free registration-only option for Discovery’s free channels, including Quest, Really and Food Network is also available. Up to four people can access discovery+ from one account at any one time.
Discovery+ was recently updated. As a result, viewers can add parental controls, a Kids profile and receive enhance personal recommendations. Additionally, the service benefits from a revamped navigation, with a dedicated sports schedule area.
