Virgin Media remains the most complained about pay TV provider, according to Ofcom’s latest complaints data, released today.
According to Ofcom, the main reason customers complained to Ofcom about Virgin Media was to do with how the company handled their complaints. Virgin Mobile was the most complained about pay monthly mobile service during the last quarter.
Virgin Media was top of the table, despite seeing its complaint volumes reduce significantly, after Ofcom raised concerns with the provider about its customer service in the previous quarter.
BT and TalkTalk TV customers were also more likely to complain about their TV service. Sky attracted the fewest complaints.
TalkTalk was also the most complained about landline and fixed-line broadband provider in Ofcom’s latest statistics, which cover the three months to the end of June 2021.
In the mobile sector, Tesco Mobile, BT Mobile, Sky Mobile, EE and O2 were all tied as least complained-about operators. EE and Sky were also the least complained-about broadband and landline providers.
Although Ofcom cannot resolve individual complaints, it can provide consumer advice. The information it receives from complainants can lead to it launching investigations.
