LG Smart TV users can now access ITVX live streams following an update applied to most current TV models.
The update allows users to access live streams of ITV1, 2, 3, 4, Be and CITV, plus additional internet-only channels. These include channels dedicated to The Chase, Vera and Midsomer Murders, plus a 24/7 sign language channel. The live streams have arrived just in time for the live Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals and the summer series of Love Island, streaming on ITV2.
According to ITV, LG Smart TVs from 2016 onwards have received the update needed to play ITVX live streams. Previously, these TVs only had access to ITVX on-demand services.
Live streams will automatically adjust their quality based on the bandwidth available. Weak or unstable internet connections will cause quality to drop. The maximum streaming quality on ITVX is HD.
