The latest member of the Sky Sports family is now available on channel guides across the UK ahead of its launch on Sunday 11th February at 11am.
- Sky viewers will see the channel on a temporary channel number until Tuesday.
- Virgin Media has now added the channel to its guide
- Sky Sports channel number changes on EE TV as a result of the new addition
Sky Sports Tennis will launch with live coverage of tennis tournaments in Qatar, Dallas and Cordoba on Sunday. That will be followed by comprehensive coverage of the Rotterdam Open.
To prepare for the channel’s launch, all main pay TV providers have already completed rollout of the channel. That’s because TV platform providers don’t normally add or remove channels at the weekend.
Sky
Sky satellite and stream viewers will initially see Sky Sports Tennis on 408, before it moves to 407 on Tuesday, as part of a multi-stage change to Sky Sports.
Virgin Media O2
At just after midnight on Friday morning, Virgin Media O2 added Sky Sports Tennis HD on channel 520 (SD on 537).
EE TV
And on EE TV (formerly BT TV), Sky Sports Tennis is now available to select on channel 445 (HD) and 425 (SD). To make way for the new channel, EE adjusted the channel slots of a number of Sky Sports channels this week. Broadly, Sky Sports Main Event, Premier League, Football, Cricket, Golf and F1 have moved up one slot in the guide, with Sky Sports Tennis inserted before Sky Sports Arena and Action (NFL).
NOW
NOW Sports Membership holders can also see the service ready and waiting to go live on Sunday.
In addition to the main Sky Sports Tennis channel, Sky will be offering multiple courts via streaming. They will be available via the red button on Sky and Virgin or NOW TV Bonus Streams for NOW and EE TV viewers.
