Disaster-stricken Red Bee Media have restored playout of Channel 4’s music and entertainment network after nearly three weeks off air.

Viewers who are still without a TV signal in North Yorkshire, Teesside and County Durham may be eligible for a voucher pay for an alternative method of accessing free-to-air TV.

Attempts to manually restore more of Channel 4’s output continues, but broadcaster still unable to say when providers will have completed the job.

Final tests ahead of the activation of a temporary transmitter mast at Bilsdale take place this week. It comes two months after a major fire disrupted telecommunications across North Yorkshire, Teesside and County Durham.
